First time diners here here last Saturday and we will be back. Both the food and service were wonderful. We had a reservation and although we got there on time we had to wait a bit to be seated but the place is very small so that was understandable. The prices are very reasonable and we can't wait to bring our friends to try it with us.

Food is good and they "care" for you, but if you complain about anything- you'll see their colors come out. Owners are the worst kind of phony people you will ever see.
I'd rather not, and take my business to a more genuine place. -

Frank & Betsie's is a North Shore gem. Small and intimate, with incredibly great service, you truly feel cared for here. I've been here a few times, and this time tried the pomegranate chicken. It was great. For dessert, instead of splurging on a big piece of cake, I took advantage of the fact that they have little butter cookies for sale as well. Three of those were perfect to satisfy my sweet tooth.

We've probably dined at Frank & Betsie's ten times over the years, and have always enjoyed the experience. When you enter, you are seated promptly and courteously. It's good to have a reservation - we've seen it packed on a weeknight. Service is very attentive and helpful (e.g., when I asked about the potato croquette last night, the waiter brought one to try). He also upgraded my wife's glass of wine, as they had a partly-opened bottle of a pricier variety. All plates stay on the table until the last diner finishes, so you aren't made to feel rushed.
The dish to order is lamb shank. They only make so many each night, so reserve in advance or get there early.
An earlier reviewer grumbled about the beef stroganoff. I had it last night, and it was fine. Sorry the earlier reviewer had a different experience.
Bottom line: excellent ambiance, service and food. -

Frank et Betsie's is filled with cozy charm, Being welcomed by a gracious staff added to the French inspired atmosphere. Paris is my 'home away from home', dining here was like being at my favorite 'bistrot' on the 'Left Bank'.Oui! Freshly baked bread was excellent,'cote du'rhone', a perfect balance to my moist chicken' herb de provence' et fine espresso for the
cappuccino!
Celebrating a birthday, the server brought a lovely pear tarte.
Attentive service, artful presentation of the cuisine served at perfect 'temp' made for a great choice to end 2018. And we look forward to 2019 with a new favorite 'bistrot' in Glencoe. Meeting the owner, Betsie was very special. I see why her dining room is a success. She et Frank have ''joie de vivre' and its expressed in their gracious dining room.
Bonne Annee!
Merci beaucoup!
